I had known for several years that Christian and I would eventually be married, so I was in no rush, but still wondered when.
There were many birthdays, anniversaries and vacations where I thought the proposal may have happened. But, it wasn’t until we had been together six years that he completely blindsided me with a romantic proposal in Hawaii!
We wanted an elegant beach wedding that we could completely customize, which is why we chose the Caribbean Club and LUCA Restaurant, both in Grand Cayman. To personalize the wedding, we made much of the décor ourselves – Christian created our wedding invitations from scratch and we lugged 65 mason jars all the way to the Island in order to place old black and white photos of us as children in each one.
We wanted to incorporate both modern and vintage aspects into our wedding, and everything turned out just the way we envisioned!
