A Virtual Reality Tool to help Wedding Planners

Planners and couples can now experience their event before it happens thanks to the first ever virtual reality tool released by AllSeated. By using special virtual reality goggles, planners and other wedding professionals can now virtually tour their future reception room, complete with furniture, in a realistic simulation.

This video demonstrates how it works.

VR is the latest in AllSeated’s tools, which include scaled floor-plans of tens of thousands of venues across the U.S. as well as guest lists, seating arrangements, timelines, and 3D design capabilities. The company is used in 10 percent of all corporate and social events in the U.S. and has more than 100,000 users.

“Experiencing the event before it happens enables a much better planning process and will give much more power to event professionals,” said Sandy Hammer, co-founder and CMO of AllSeated. “Our new VR offering breaks the mold of traditional efficiency tools and helps our users improve the way they plan and deliver world-class events.”

As a corporate planner for many years, Hammer felt firsthand the frustrations of an industry that lacked digitalized tools necessary to do her work seamlessly and efficiently.

VR for wedding planners
In the next few weeks, AllSeated will add other amazing features to its virtual reality tool. Users will be able to see their full table and buffet setup with plates, utensils and linens as well as virtually walk among the guests and see each guest name.

“Technology of this magnitude will open up business opportunities all over the world and grant instant access to design and creativity,” said Arthur Backal, Director of Catering at the Mandarin Oriental New York and CEO of Backal Hospitality Group.

VR is just one of the areas AllSeated is entering. Augmented Reality will be the next big push for the brand, which will mean planners will be able to virtually tour different venues.

“AllSeated is committed to pushing the boundaries and bringing new, cutting-edge tools to everyone in the event world,” said Yaron Lipshitz, CEO of AllSeated.
