It was love at first sight that brought them together. Ana, who is from Germany and Justin who is from the US, met on a golf course in Oregon when Ana was visiting her host family in the US.
Ana and Justin wanted both of their families to be there for the wedding, however organizing two weddings was too difficult to do so a destination wedding offered the perfect solution. The couple looked at a map to pin-point a location right in the middle. That turned out to be the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
Ana’s dad who is from the Canary Islands, only speaks Spanish so hosting the wedding in Puerto Rico also gave him the opportunity to understand the island and culture. Puerto Rico has a lot in common with the Canary Islands. As for Justin’s family and friends Puerto Rico was the easiest country to travel to from the US.
Ana and Justin both love nature and traveling. For their wedding they wanted to connect with these specific elements. As their wedding theme they chose earth-tones. Their wedding planner provided them with the most beautiful decor they could have asked for which made the wedding perfect. To make the wedding even more magical the ceremony took place under the 200 year old Banyan Tree at El San Juan Hotel.
Ana looked stunning in a beautiful ivory coloured princess dress and Justin was handsome in a dark brown suit, white shirt and a green tie. After the ceremony the couple then headed off to the panorama rooftop terrace where they danced the night away overlooking the Isla Verde shores and facing the Atlantic Ocean.
The best advice Ana would give to other Caribbean Bride’s is to get help from a qualified wedding planner when getting married in another country. You will feel way more comfortable and you will see a little stress will be taken of your shoulders.
