Meet Krystie Ann, a make up artist and hair specialist based in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. She has over thirteen years of experience as a hair and makeup specialist. She graduated in 2004 from “CMU – College of Makeup & Design”. Krystie provides excellent service to her clients and leaves a lasting impression on them.
1. What is your favourite part of owning your hair and make up business?
With over 13 years in the makeup and hair industry, I love being a part of all things bridal when it comes to hair and makeup. I just love love being around the happiness of weddings.
2. What do you enjoy the most about your services?
Surrounded by the excitement, love, total joy AND working on an island in paradise is a BONUS! I love helping my brides bring their bridal beauty vision to life. How a bride looks and feels on the most magical day for her life, I know is incredibly important. Not to mention, being professional as well as outgoing and positive! How you FEEL being around your wedding vendors is also something very important. It is such an honour for me to be apart of these special days.
3. What differentiates you and your business from other competitors?
My bride’s total and complete satisfaction is what I strive for. Keeping a calm, relaxed and happy environment is also essential for a happy, pampered bride. Hair and Makeup is a luxury service and I love for my clients to feel relaxed and confident that they are going to look and feel their best.
4. What are the three top make up/hair requests from your clients?
My clients often seek out my services for my soft, textured and romantic updo styles. Perfect for any beach destination wedding. As well as my airbrush makeup service, which is so key for warm, humid conditions. The water-resistant product is perfect for any bride! That, and a fresh, natural makeup look. Perfectly bronzed of course! I have always been an artist who loves to enhance a bride’s natural beauty, let her true beauty shine on her big day.
5. What make up brands do you use on your clients?
I use a wide range of professional makeup products – Urban Decay, Hourglass, Tarte, TooFaced, Makeup Forever. I could go on and on, I am a total makeup junkie.
