Great start to the trip today! First off was the Romance Symposium put on by the Tobago Department of Tourism at the Vanguard Hotel. Beside the insightful presentations by Tom Curtin and Andy Ebon it was great to meet local vendors to see what they offer. Since we get inquiries from around the world looking for vendors it was invaluable to us to get some face time with companies we have only met online.
There was a array of service providers on hand that included caterers, wedding planners and spa services. I was not surprised the the level of talent on hand. From an intimate wedding party of four to a Tobago and cater to it all. While on your honeymoon who wouldn’t want a massage with there spouse next to the beach?
For dinner this evening we went to Bonkers Restaurant which is at Toucan Inn. The food was excellent and the service excellentER! Definitely one of the best meals I have had in the islands. The decor is warm and inviting and delivers the feeling of cozy Caribbean.
I am very excited to see some of the island tomorrow. Besides some hotel tours we are doing a catamaran cruise in the evening!
