Montreal based evening wear and bridal brand, Di Carlo Couture, premiered the Fall/Winter 2018 capsule evening wear collection recently to a packed house including media, celebrities and notables at Toronto Women’s Fashion Week.
“I take inspiration from texture and diversity,” states Antoinette Di Carlo, Designer. “I want to tell a story with my designs, and the best way to do so is to combine different colours, layering effects and bead work to create delicate and original pieces.”
The Fall/Winter 2018 collection features strong pops of colour including bright yellow, periwinkle and strong metallic influences. Each bespoke gown is one of a kind with unique hand finished details using Di Carlo’s extreme attention to detail. Di Carlo Couture is a favourite among Canadian celebrities and notables including Jessica Mulroney, Cheryl Hickey and Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau; a go-to for red carpet fashion during awards season. Several pieces stood out to us as being perfect for the destination bride. We can easily picture the delicate soft fabrics with intricate appliqué flowing freely in the Caribbean breeze. The dramatic silhouettes and nude fabrics are sure to turn heads on your big day.
Guests in attendance were given star treatment with pre-show gift bags sponsored by CND Nail Polish, Flawless by Friday, Nadège Patisserie, Sekai Beauty Bar, teapigs,Town Shoes, and Wedluxe Magazine. Following the show, Di Carlo’s attendees joined the designer in celebration at celebrity Chef Aprile’s of MasterChef Canada’s latest venture, Copetín, where guests were treated to wine and canapés from one of Canada’s most celebrated chefs.
