Caribbean Bride was honoured to partner with the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority to present Bride Villa 2012 in Antigua. The spectacular wedding show, our largest to date, featured a weekend of events and activities for vendors and brides-to-be along with an appearance by award-winning event designer Preston Bailey.
The weekend began with a “Love in Antigua & Barbuda” seminar at beautiful Sandals Grande Antigua. The educational evening included presentations from industry professionals: photographer Mike Zoumberos of Limelight Photography spoke on the art of wedding photography; social media expert Andrea Lown, CEO and managing editor of SmartBride Boutique presented social media tips for wedding vendors; and keynote speaker, Preston Bailey dazzled the crowd with the remarkable events he has created and provided advice for vendors on designing dream weddings.
“Bride Villa was an amazing experience,” says Andrea Lown. “It was a pleasure to meet so many vendors from Antigua and other Caribbean islands and learn of different wedding trends. Also, Preston Bailey gave a lively talk about his bumpy road to success, inspiring vendor attendees and fellow speakers alike.”
Copper and Lumber Store Hotel hosted Bride Villa’s vendor and fashion showcase. The afternoon featured premium vendors Chef 2 U Events and Indigo Events Service along with Agenda Designs, Cakes by Cicely, Exotic Floral, Flower World, Jason Pickering Photography, Jaybird Event Design, Jolly Beach Resort, The Aveda Spa at Sugar Ridge Resort and The Little Bean Company.
Bride Villa afforded guests an opportunity to sample delectable cuisine and desserts, meet local vendors and discover the wonderful amenities Antigua and Barbuda offers for weddings and honeymoons. However, no wedding show is complete without music and fashion. Performers Leslie Nanton, Tyrone Mason and Rowdon Edwards, and DJ Usan George entertained the crowd as they viewed stunning gowns by Anya Bridal, Calvin Southwell and Whyte Couture.
