Travel Tips

Protect your skin. Remember to pack your sun block and make sure you buy one with at least SPF (sun protection factor) 30. A severe sunburn can take the fun out of your Caribbean Holiday.

Don't check essentials. If at all possible avoid having your vacation essentials for your trip as checked luggage. This may include the clothing for the event, your medication or other personal items. You don't want to be in Jamaica while your outfit is in Hawaii a day before the wedding!

Walking with the gift. If you are traveling to the Caribbean for a wedding and the couple doesn't live in the Caribbean it is ok to deliver the gift directly to their home instead of making them lug back home with gifts and other wedding items.

Keeping in touch. There is adequate cell coverage within all of the islands so do bring your cell phone. Look out for those roaming charges though…. they can add up quickly!!

Activities. There are many tours and other activities for you to do on your trip. Check with the activities director at your hotel or just do some research online before you get there. If you have a free moment why not volunteer to help the bride and groom? Helping them by picking up Auntie Ros from the airport would be much appreciated.

Remember to keep hydrated. Excessive amounts of alcohol dehydrates the body and coupled with the warm Caribbean weather can cause illness. Keeping yourself hydrated is also great for giving your skin that healthy glow.

Relax. Time moves slower in the Caribbean. Your beach chair will arrive...just remember you are in paradise!
