Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya, the newest resort addition to the eco-destination Mayakoba, officially debuted its full roster of wedding venues and offerings. The resort invites couples to book their Mexican destination wedding and enjoy a picturesque oceanfront setting, variety of unique spaces, luxury amenities and authentic local culture, with rooms for the bridal party to get ready in walking distance of all resort venues.  Located on the Caribbean beachfront of Mexico, just north of Playa del Carmen, the exquisite property immerses guests in a hidden paradise with six miles of freshwater canals surrounded by exotic mangroves, lagoons, flora and fauna, creating a romantic atmosphere for a wedding celebration. From the beach to the ballroom, Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya offers several idyllic wedding venues for both ceremonies and receptions.

The Beachfront
The Andaz Mayakoba secluded beach is the perfect setting for an unparalleled beach wedding with white sand and turquoise Caribbean waters as a backdrop and the gentle lapping of the waves and light ocean breeze as a natural soundtrack. The resort has the largest beach front area of all of the properties in the Mayakoba complex and can host ceremonies for up to 200 people. The resort will complete a beach renovation project to rehabilitate its coastal ecosystems by June 20 which will expand the shoreline by 30 meters, doubling their venue space to accommodate up to 400 guests.

The Balam Ballroom
The spectacular Balam Ballroom offers 6,200 square feet of natural light, versatile indoor and outdoor space, terraces and lawn areas with the ability to accommodate parties of up to 320 people.  The pre-function area of the ballroom features large sliding glass panels which make the space flexible with the ability to be divided into two separate rooms. The pre-function area can accommodate 200 guests for cocktails and 100 seated in banquet rounds of 10. The panels open up to the Balam Garden, which can accommodate up to 100 guests seated banquet style. The ballroom is dominated by a beautifully crafted area rug made up of multi-colored stripes reminiscent of Mayan textile design, giving the space an authentic, local touch in line with the rest of the resort’s vibrant, Mexican décor. The ballroom has space for a dance floor as well as a host of advanced technological capabilities. Couples may also opt for an Encore audiovisual package should they want to have a lighted dancefloor, DJ or color LED lights.

The Studios Courtyard
Andaz Mayakoba’s Studios Courtyard is an outdoor space ideal for smaller, private weddings and events. Surrounded by the property’s five studios, the courtyard has the capacity for up to 80 guests seated in banquet rounds of 10 or ceremonies for up to 100 guests. The space also has its own kitchen area.

Lagoon Pool and Beach Pool
The most popular venues for weddings and events are next to the resort’s array of outdoor beach and lagoon pools. With twinkling lights, calm and picturesque pools, and stunning views out towards the beach or the lagoon, the pool areas are magical settings for weddings. The lagoon pool area can host up to 150 guests in banquet set-up with a dance floor and 250 guests for cocktails. The Beach Pool can comfortably host 80 guests for a banquet in front of the resort’s lively beachfront restaurant Olla Ceviche.

El Pueblito
El Pueblito is a charming wedding venue in the heart of Mayakoba, designed after an authentic Mexican village square. The space, which is infused with an eclectic mix of sidewalk restaurants, boutiques and an art gallery, makes for a picturesque Mexican-style wedding. The centerpiece of El Pueblito, just like any other village square in Mexico, is the chapel, ‘Capilla de la Santa Cruz,’ which can be reserved for Catholic wedding ceremonies. The chapel can accommodate approximately 88 guests on its elegant wooden benches with the possibility to add extra seating on the sides of the chapel to hold up to 130 guests. In the middle of the courtyard is a gazebo, where wedding ceremonies of any faith, culture or religion can be held. Following the ceremony, the square can be transformed into an open-air venue to hold a reception. El Pueblito, which has quickly become a favorite location for events, can entertain gatherings of up to 400 in banquet style seating and 800 for a cocktail reception.

For all venues, dedicated Andaz wedding consultants handle the details and logistics, including hassle-free event planning allowing couples to remain stress-free leading up to the big day. The experienced planners can take care of all aspects of the wedding from floral design, furniture selection and décor to lighting, live entertainment and fireworks. They can also arrange all group room reservations, spa appointments, transportation, any special amenities for guests and any events outside of the ceremony itself. Whether opting for a traditional Mexican wedding, a more contemporary celebration or a culturally infused approach, Andaz wedding consultants will make the process seamless and fun.

Other offerings for weddings include culinary creations from Executive Chef Vincent Wallez, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine and options for customized menus suited to please every couple’s personal tastes. The resort offers an extensive banquet menu for couples to choose their favorite selections, including locally infused items, and Chef Wallez will meet with each couple in order to personalize the menus to their liking. Depending on the couple’s preferences and needs, the culinary team can put together banquets of three or four courses, food stations, family style or barbecue parties. Menu highlights include appetizers such as Castilla pumpkin cream soup served with duck dumpling and mascarpone cheese and Roasted vegetable terrine. Entrees offering include Blackened chicken breast with saffron polenta, vegetables harlequin and portabella cream; and Crown shrimp accompanied by shellfish coulis and caramelized onions. Pastry Chef Daniel Moreno makes incredible dessert bars and wedding cakes inspired by the selection of flavors and style of the couple. Dessert highlights include Passionfruit mousse with raspberry compote and rosemary and Coconut Caramel Crème with honey crisp.
