Every bride wants to look the best they can for their wedding day. You are surrounded by friends and family and are the center of attention all day, not to mention being in hundreds of photographs! Let's look at ways to make you glow on your wedding day.
Sun: Friend or Foe
With the beautiful weather around it is hard to stay out of the sun. Remember to use a sun block of at least SPF 30 and be conscious of bathing suit tan lines. You don't want to ruin the image of you in that strapless gown with tan lines from the beach.
Water or Rum?
As tempting as it is avoid large amounts of alcohol leading up to your wedding day. Excessive amounts of alcohol dehydrates the body and coupled with the warm Caribbean weather can cause illness. Keeping yourself hydrated is also great for giving your skin that healthy glow.
Make up for you
Get a consultation from a professional make-up artist. Most department stores with a cosmetic counter will also have representatives that can help you as well. Ask about the right make-up and techniques for your skin and face type. If you are going on a destination wedding factor in that you might be a few shades darker on your wedding day after spending time on the beach.
Having a good hair day
Choose hair and make up that goes well with the style and colour of your dress. A more classic dress may lend to some sort of up-do while a more modern dress may lend to more creative styles. Don't forget the humidity in the Caribbean can sometimes wreak havoc on your hair. Remember to pack anti-frizz hair products and lots of gel.
Remember the hands
Nothing kills the allure of a stunning ring more than poorly manicured hands. Spend the time to have regular treatments leading up to your big day. Having yourself pampered is also a great way to have some quiet down time away from the wedding planning.
Beautiful Body
There is no question that every bride wants to look the best they can for their wedding day. If you don't have a very healthy lifestyle consider joining a gym or start taking regular walks to get you in shape. If you have chosen a dress which will be showing arms and back you may want to target these areas in your workout.
